The perfect Sunday
Is there a better way to spend a hot Sunday afternoon after friend's wedding than a light brunch at Kaffeine (@kaffeinelondon)? I don't think so, which is why once the first waves of heat woke the previous night's Best Man (who, quite frankly, is my Best Man every day) up, we made our way to the charming Great Titchfield Street's coffee place. I've been dreaming about their bircher muesli with rhubarb and raspberry compot and, more importantly, double macchiato preceded by the refreshing palate cleanser (genius!) for most of my working week...Trouble with their coffee is that once you finish your first one you want your second. Thankfully, Lantana (@lantanacafe) is only a gentle stroll away, hidden on Charlotte Place. Another perfect cup of thick chocolatey (with a slightly salty note...) macchiato later I was content and ready for a cold drink. As London's heatwave continues, I am in search of a perfect iced coffee. Can anyone beat Maison d'etre's? (@maisondetrecafe)
Try The Old Shoreditch Station at the intersection of Kingsland Road, Old Street, Hackney Road and Shoreditch High Street.
ReplyDeleteFor best results go in the morning and hope that Frank's working. Frank's the tall, skinny one with glasses. He's got a slightly hipster-ish vibe going on but ignore that and focus on the coffee.
Thanks, I shall add it to my list :)
